Job Description

Communication with customers regarding requirement analysis, specification / testing requirements and other feedback.
Compliance with respect to design control requirements including requirements definition, phase reviews and risk analysis.
New product development intime
Maximize product profitability and improve product performances.
Applies all relevant international regulations/norms/standards.
Provides cost-effective development of product as per customers requirement and specification.
Adding patents wherever required.
Supports R&D Orders at group level participating in meetings and sharing technical information and best-practices.
Encourages sharing of best-practices through the participation and promotion of meetings, newsletters, knowledge sharing tools and all other initiatives.
Design as per customers requirement & specification
BOM preparation and handover to purchase ,stores.
After quotation acceptance(PO receipt from customer) update design in post order stage and take approval from customer (If reqd).
Review of manufacturing design and modification if necessary.
Checking the feasibility of enquiry received .
Checking of design drawing and Part list/BOM for all Orders.
Certification requirement to check for new Order as per customer’s requirement (If reqd).
Pump design & R&D activity decision intime
Increase product efficiency & overall performance of pump
Approval of engineering deviation note.
Customer coordination with the help of sales for all technical requirements of the customer.
Maintain design / drawing for each customer as per predefine guideline
Generate serial no. for pump , which is to printed on pump name plate .
Address quality issues , customer complaints, service issue related to design of product
Coordinate with sales department for receipt of enquiry and specification of a customer during pre-order stage.
Coordination with production department for transfering the technical knowledge, also handover the drawings and BOM (for eg how to perform specific technical function required for production).
Coordination with purchase department to hand over the BOM. Helping purchase in interpreting the specifications for newly developed BOM.
Coordinate with purchase department for cost reduction drive through alternate item development, Pattern modification etc.
Initiate Value engineering drive
Submission of MIS should be done on timely basis
– Upgrade technical knowledge
– ISO,Safety,CE,5’S, OHSAS, EMS and other certification process
Training marketing department regarding product knowledge.
Training production department & quality department regarding technical & quality aspects in manufacturing.
Ensuring effective use of E.R.P for entire design function.
Generation of various value added reports.
Testing of module by the team from time to time.
Giving suggestion for converting manual processes to E.R.P based processes.
Accuracy of data in system with respect to various masters etc.
Follow and monitor all compliances with respect to ISO, CE, Safety, 5’S, OHSAS, EMS and other certifications.
