Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our team. The ideal
candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in manual and automation testing.
Experience in performance testing is a big plus. The candidate should be proficient in tools like Selenium
or Cypress and possess expertise in functional testing. Knowledge of database testing, familiarity with
SQL or API testing, and experience in programming languages such as Java or JavaScript are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test
scenarios.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing.
Manual and Automation Testing:
• Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure functionality
meets specifications.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
Performance Testing:
• Design, execute, and analyze performance tests to ensure applications meet performance
benchmarks.
• Identify and report performance bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
Functional Testing:
• Conduct end-to-end functional testing to validate software features and functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring their timely resolution.
Database and API Testing:
• Perform database testing by creating and executing SQL queries to validate data accuracy and
integrity.
• Conduct API testing to ensure seamless integration and data exchange between systems.
Test Automation Frameworks:
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks.
• Maintain and update test scripts to accommodate changes in software features.
Defect Management:
• Document and track defects using issue tracking systems.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and verify bug fixes.
Regression Testing:
• Execute regression testing to validate that previously identified defects have been resolved and
that new changes do not impact existing functionality.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software
testing.
• Share knowledge with the team and actively contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 06-1 year of relevant experience in software testing.
• Strong experience in manual testing and automation testing using tools like Selenium or
Cypress.
• Proficiency in performance testing methodologies and tools is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of database testing using SQL or API testing.
• Hands-on experience in programming languages like Java or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and version control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
