Job Description

1. Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed
2. Study production and machine requirements
3. Develop and test effective automated and manual systems
4. Design and install equipment
5. Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources
6. Integrate disparate systems (e.g. equipment handling, transport)
7. Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network performance
8. Resolve issues and delays in production
9. Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality
10. Train staff in new and existing processes
11. Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers
12. Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
13. Upgrade systems and processes with new technology
