Job Description
1.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense tracking. Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts regularly.
2.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Provide financial reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and insights.
3.Budgeting and Forecasting :Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts for the company’s operations, projects, and initiatives.
4.Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
5.Tax Compliance :Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate income tax.
Prepare and submit tax returns and related documentation accurately and on time.
6.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
7.Handle accounts receivable activities, invoicing customers, and tracking outstanding payments.
8.Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide insights on business performance, cost trends, and revenue generation.
9.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue optimization.
10.Audit and Compliance: Assist in external audits and collaborate with auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
11.Maintain compliance with financial regulations and standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
Participate in the selection and implementation of accounting software and tools.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, making recommendations to optimize cash utilization.
Manage cash disbursements and cash receipts, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
