Senior MEP Electrical design engineer

Job Description

🔹 Leadership & Team Management

· Lead and manage the Electrical Design team, ensuring productivity and high-quality output.

· Allocate projects, monitor progress, and mentor junior engineers.

· Establish best practices, SOPs, and design standards within the department.

🔹 Design & Technical Oversight

· Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and BOQs.

· Ensure all designs comply with applicable standards (IS, IEC, NBC, etc.).

· Handle complex design challenges and provide technical direction.

🔹 Project Management

· Oversee multiple projects from concept to execution.

· Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal teams.

· Ensure timely delivery within budget and scope.

🔹 Client & Site Coordination

· Attend client meetings and represent the organization professionally.

· Conduct site visits for inspections, progress reviews, and issue resolution.

· Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

🔹 Strategy & Business Support

· Support management in planning, costing, and project proposals.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

· Contribute to business growth through technical expertise and client handling.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

· 5+ years of experience in Electrical

· Proven experience in team leadership and project management.

· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and design tools.
