Job Description
1) Manage to oversee the work of subordinate staff, PMC engineer, MEP Contractors (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, DG, FA, PA, CCTV, IBMS, Earthing, LPS, vertical transportation systems, STP, WTP, Garbage disposals. Provide technical advice to staff, PMC, Contractors for regarding installation, testing, commissioning and handing over of all MEP Systems.
2) Coordination with PMC / MEP contractors for submission Technical submittals, Shop drawings, Method statements, Trackers etc., Review contractors TDS, shop drawings, Method statements against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent, coordination with PMC / Consultants / Design team for the comment / approval of same and return to Project / Design head with appropriate comments/approval within the specified contractual period.
3) Continually review the contractors construction schedule during the progress of the site works regarding MEP services and report to the Project Head on the same
4) Manage the day-to-day work of the MEP team. In conjunction with the document controller, ensure that the filing/logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the same
5) Undertake general project site observation/inspection of the MEP services works for Contractors adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultants specification, good working practices, and construction schedule. Monitor and promote health and safety on the site.
6) Attend project, site progress, and any mechanical services-related technical meetings directed by the project manager.
7) Prepare draft site/engineers instructions relating to the MEP services, as required, and issue to the Project Manager .
Review of snags given by operations team, get it rectified by respective contractor and subsequently hand over the operational systems to operations team
