• Inspecting gear visually by following eye sequence chart with the help of control plan & check
sheet.
• Inspecting gear visually by checking its all dimensions (like internal diameter & chamfer size) &
CSR (Customer specific requirement).
• Inspecting all kinds of defects Burr, Dent, Damage, Punch missing, Punch not ok, Face tool mark,
Chatter mark, Face taper, Face unclean, Tooth chamfer missing, Tooth chamfer step, Profile
finish, Chamfer variation & Chamfer angle variation, Slant Cut, Teeth bend, Excess Sanderring.
Multigauge inspection
• Inspecting gear according to given control plan specification or following check sheet for proper
working of machine.
• Before initiating process gear part number set up process, Probe zero setting, Auto sensing and
Probe calibration.
• Inspecting or monitoring all kinds of gear critical parameters to satisfy customer needs like Internal
diameter, Radial width, Outer diameter, Thickness, Parallity, Bottom face flatness, Internal
diameter ovality, Radial width variation.
Magnetic particle inspection
• Before starting this process check sheet is filled for proper working of machine like current setting
in amperes both coil shot and head shot, Magnetic field value after or before inspecting crack with
gauss meter, To check the concentration of fluorcent powder with the help of centrifugal tube,
ASTM test piece used to check concentration is ok or not, UV light intensity meter to check
intensity of UV light weekly, Oil level, Demagnetizing sensor is working or not.
• Checking crack by magnetizing gear by passing current in both direction for checking subsurface
crack with the help of fluorcent powder under UV light.
Pre delivery inspection
• After all process is competed pre delivery report is filled with the help of taking five gears in every
shift in which number of teeth, Average inside diameter, Average outer diameter, Thickness,
Flatness, Average span over teeth, Span on number of teeth, Inside diameter ovality, Radial width,
Surface hardness at PCD on engaging or non-engaging side, Trecability batch code, Visual
inspection, 100% MPI marking, Packaging standard, CSR inspection GP 12 inspection/mix up
with manually by various measuring devices.
• All kinds of reports are filled monthly or weekly like dock audit, dispatch report, process audit or
product audit.
